PERMANENT HAIR REMOVAL with electrolysis
Electrolysis is the only medically recognized way of permanently removing unwanted hair from your Face & body.
Electrolysis is the only hair removal method that has been medically proven to provide permanent results. In contrast, temporary options like laser treatments, waxing, threading, tweezing, depilatories, and shaving require ongoing maintenance and only offer a short-term solution. These methods can also lead to skin irritation, ingrown hairs, or faster regrowth.
how does it work ?
With electrolysis, each hair is individually treated and destroyed using a very fine, pre-sterilized probe, which is disposable.
The probe is gently inserted into the hair follicle, which is a natural opening in the skin. A small amount of electrical current is then applied, heating and destroying the dermal papilla, which controls the development and growth of the hair.
There is a slight tingling and warm sensation, after which the hair is gently removed using tweezers. Since the hair is destroyed, it slides out easily without pulling, preventing any damage to the skin.
the equipment
I use an Apilus electrolysis machine because its advanced computerized settings and pinpoint accuracy allow me to provide treatments that are both effective and comfortable. Additionally, Apilus machines offer quicker and more permanent results compared to other electrolysis hair removal devices. Electrolysis hair removal Chichester, West Sussex
I have received in-depth training on Apilus machines, so you can undergo treatments with full confidence, knowing you are in the hands of a certified technician using ultramodern technology, equipment, and sterilized disposable probes.

electrolysis vs laser ?
The main difference lies in how the treatments are applied. Lasers use a mild form of radiation to damage the hair follicles. While this can slow down hair growth, it does not permanently stop it, and eventually, the hair will grow back, requiring additional treatments. In contrast, electrolysis permanently destroys the hair follicles’ ability to reproduce, effectively ending the cycle of hair growth.
Laser treatment targets the melanin (pigment) in the hair follicle and is mainly suited for people with light skin and dark hair. It is less effective for treating people with blond or grey hair, as well as those with dark, thin hairs. In contrast, electrolysis directly targets the hair follicle and can be used to treat any hair type, regardless of skin color. Electrolysis hair removal Chichester, West Sussex
Because laser treatments cover a wider area, fewer sessions are needed. However, 6-8 sessions spread out over 6 weeks will still take nearly a year to complete. The success of the treatment also depends entirely on how suitable you are for it.
Electrolysis does take longer because each follicle has to be individually treated. However, you can choose the specific areas you want to treat, and the cost for smaller areas, such as the face, is usually lower. The best part is that once the treatment is completed, the hair is gone for good. Remember, electrolysis is the only medically proven and accepted form of permanent hair removal.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Electrolysis ?
Electrolysis treats every hair follicle individually. A very fine, disposable, filament is inserted into the natural opening of the hair follicle alongside the hair shaft. A minute amount of current is then applied which allows the hair to be easily removed while permanently destroying the follicle’s ability to reproduce.
Is Electrolysis suitable for me ?
Electrolysis is suitable for everyone regardless of gender, race, age or skin colour.
Is it painful ?
Although most people feel no discomfort there are some people who do. The only way you will truly know is to experience it for yourself, this is why I offer a free patch test during your initial consultation so you can try electrolysis for yourself and see if it is suitable for you.
Why should I choose electrolysis over other hair removal treatments ?
Unlike other hair removal options electrolysis is the only medically proven method for permanent hair removal.
Laser treatment is very effective and fast at covering large areas but it is not suitable for everyone and even in best-case scenarios only offers a temporary reduction in hair removal.
Waxing, threading and tweezing only offer a temporary solution and can cause ingrown hairs and an increase in hair growth.
Depilatories and shaving are also only temporary and can both cause skin irritation as well as cause the hair to grow faster.
All of these methods require a constant stream of maintenance and inconvenience which can be impractical especially if you suffer from excessive hair growth.
How long will it take to be hair free ?
Each session lasts between 10 mins to 1 hour. The number of treatments you will need depends on the size of the area to be treated and the length of each session. Although you can expect to see results after the first visit it is an ongoing process and will require a long-term commitment of at least several months. If you are looking for a quick fix electrolysis is not right for you.
What happens after treatment ?
Electrolysis does take longer because every follicle has to be individually treated. Every session takes between 15 mins to 1 hour. However, you are able to determine the areas you want to be treated and the cost of doing smaller areas such as the face is almost always cheaper. The best part is that once treatment has been completed that’s it, no more hair. Remember, electrolysis is the only medically-proven and legally accepted form of permanent hair removal.
Why me ?
As someone who has personally suffered from unwanted hair I know first hand the effect it can have on your confidence and understand how insecure and miserable it can make you feel. I promise you will receive caring and understanding support, together with a total commitment to helping you become hair-free so you enjoy a hair-free life.

1/ Stop using other hair removal methods like waxing, threading and tweezing. Electrolysis will work a lot faster with more hairs present on your skin during treatment.
2/ A few days before treatment lightly exfoliate the skin to clear the hair follicles of debris.
3/ Drink lots of water the day before and the day of the electrolysis session. The more hydrated and more supple your skin is, the better the treatment will work.
4/ Any skin treatments including facials, microdermabrasion, skin rejuvenation treatments, or peels should not be performed within one week of the electrolysis session.
5/ Do not wear make-up, foundation or sunblock to the electrolysis session.

After Treatment Care….
Following treatment, redness, mild swelling, and a warm sensation are all very common side effects. These aftercare recommendations will help keep you feeling comfortable:
1/ Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated
2/ Avoid direct sunlight for 24 hours.
3/ Avoid contact with oily, soapy, perfumed or alcohol-based products until skin is back to normal.
4/ Avoid using make-up products on the treated area for 12-24 hours after the treatment.
5/ Do not use other hair removal methods in between sessions, instead come right away for treatment.
6/ Do not exercise vigorously for 48hrs following electrolysis treatment. Sweat can irritate treated skin
7/ Lightly apply Polysporin, tea tree oil, aloe vera or ice to soothe treated areas if necessary.
